Parent Connection Forum This Wednesday
Parent Connection Forum
This Wednesday
To the Editor:
The Parent Connection is a group recently reorganized by concerned parents who hope to increase the awareness of adolescent substance abuse in Newtown and in the process decrease the abuse itself. A core of committed parents have been busy contacting First Selectman Rosenthal, Chief Kehoe, Dr Pitkoff, Youth Services, and the clergy in town in an effort to build a united front to combat this crisis, the single most critical issue that we as parents face.
The Parent Connection has organized a series of public forums to further this cause and the first will be this Wednesday, September 24, at the Middle School auditorium from 7 to 9 pm. The forum will feature John Hamilton, whose professional experience on the topic of substance abuse will enlighten many on the harsh realities of this crisis. Please make time for this cause! We canât afford to be too busy or apathetic when it comes to the well-being of our children. Make the commitment to attend this forum and every one thereafter so that we can truly make a difference in the quality of our childrenâs lives.
