DeVellis hit Kevin Regan with a seven-yard scoring strike and then hit Scott Perry with a 48-yard scoring strike to get the âHawks off to a fast start. After Chris Potter rushed for a 21-yard touchdown to put the âHawks ahead, 20-0, DeVellis scampered in from 10 yards out for his third TD and a 26-0 Newtown lead.
Stratford scored on a 40-yard run in the third quarter, but in the fourth quarter Max Reed bulled his way in from one yard out (DeVellis adding the two-point conversion) to finish off the Red Devils.
