Hit Posts, Tree

Walter Moradel, 34, of Bethel, was southbound on Pond Brook Road at 8:56 am on September 7 when he braked on a curve. His vehicle crossed the centerline, went into the northbound lane, and struck eight wooden posts and a tree, according to police. Moradel was cited for failure to drive right. He complained of shoulder and neck pain and was transported to New Milford Hospital.

Unsafe Backing

Stephanie Leclercq, 17, Danbury, was eastbound on Plum Trees Road at 4:42 pm on September 16 when she attempted to turn around because she was lost, police said. When she backed up, her car went down an embankment and got stuck. She was not injured. Police issued a written warning for unsafe backing.
