Musical Circus For Planet Earth

BRIDGEPORT — “A Musical Circus for Planet Earth,” a lively blend of entertainment and environmental education with juggling, unicycling, comedy, stilt walking and acrobatics, will be presented Saturday, October 6, at 10:30 am, at The Barnum Museum, 820 Main Street. Doors will open at 10 am.

Audiences of all ages will participate throughout the show while learning how to reduce waste, reuse everyday products, recycle and rot food scraps into compost. The routines will teach practical solutions to real environmental issues.

The program will feature artists from Earthcapades of Pacifica, Calif., in the monthly “Bridgeport Hospital’s Breakfast at the Barnum” family entertainment series. Before the program, a free continental breakfast will be served. A special feature for the October program will be the addition of a Halloween Safety program to be presented by staff members of Bridgeport Hospital’s P.T. Barnum Pediatric Center.

Because of the overwhelming success of the live performance series, which is entering its fourth year, a system of advance ticket purchases will be instituted. Call 203-331-1104 for details.

The program is included with regular museum admission of $5 for adults, 4$ for senior citizens and college students, and $3 for children ages 4 through 18. Children under 4 are admitted free. On street parking is available.
