Pack 470 Welcomes Back Scouts

Cub Scout Pack 470 is ready to begin another exciting, activity filled year that promises to be a special experience for both new and returning scouts. The first Pack Meeting to get the year started will be Thursday, September 28, at 7 pm, at the Head O’ Meadow School cafeteria.

 In addition to returning scouts, boys in the first through fifth grades at HOM school wishing to join scouting are welcome to register that evening if they have not already done so.

This year the pack is looking forward to a variety of special events including a Halloween Hayride, Scout Day at Lime Rock, the Pinewood Derby and pancake breakfast, overnight campouts, visits to museums, and the annual Blue and Gold awards dinner. Pack meetings are held monthly, and in addition to recognizing scouts for their achievements, they feature presentations by local historians, cultural groups, and community leaders. A complete schedule of events will be available at the first pack meeting.
