From The Bottom To The Top At Devil’s Den

WESTON — The Nature Conservancy is offering a guided seven-mile hike on Sunday, October 1, from 10 am to 2 pm. Called “Bottoms Up!” the hike will wind along the east side of the 1,756-acre preserve, from the lowest point to the highest, with a lunch break at Great Ledge to enjoy the dramatic view over valley and reservoir.

While en route along some of the more than 21 miles of trails at Devil’s Den, trail adopter Stu Cummings and tree guide Deborah Gruen will reveal facts about the preserve and features passed along the way.

For the moderately strenuous hike, hikers will park at Devil’s Den, at the end of Pent Road.

Wear hiking shoes and pack a snack lunch and water. Registration is required and limited, so those who are interested should call The Den office, 203/226-4991, weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm, for a reservation, information, or directions.
