A memorial service/celebration of life to honor Marcia Hicks, who died in August 2020, is being planned.

Marcia was the mother of Christy Spinelli of Middlebury and Shannon Will of Sandy Hook. She is also survived by two sons-in-law, three grandchildren, additional family members, and many friends.

A brief graveside service for the Shelton native and longtime Southbury resident will be held at 10 am Saturday, September 25, at Pine Hill Cemetery, on the corner of Pine Hill Road and Old Field Road in Southbury.

A reception will follow under the pavilion at Ballantine Park, across the road from the cemetery.

Family, friends, co-workers, et al are all invited to join Christy and Shannon, who hope to hear new stories and laugh over old ones about their mother.

Marcia loved bright colors, sunflowers, and moose. Those planning to attend the celebration of her life are encouraged to wear bright colored clothing and/or anything that incorporates her other loves.
