Pictures

 We only have pictures now,

Frozen pieces of time,

To remind us of how it was,

When you were here…(and mine).

How much we miss you,

We think about you every day.

Our hearts ache so deeply,

And it never goes away.

The angels came and took you,

Hopefully to a better place.

Without telling us their reason,

A very unexpected case.

You should have had many more years,

To learn how to learn and talk.

But autism kept you mute,

Requiring the use of pictures on every walk.

Today, those pictures remain

And the memories too,

But we will always wish, Tyler

Those pictures were still you.

We love and miss you,
