'Unity In Diversity' Programs Preview, September 25-October 4
Unity In Diversity, aÃÂ weekly television program that features interviews with prominent pastors, rabbis, imams, and other spiritual leaders of a variety of local faith communities, can be viewed on Charter Communications channel 192 each Monday at 12:30 pm and again on Wednesday at 5:30 pm.
Through the programs, viewers learn about Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Baha'i, Unitarianism, or one of the many Christian communities, including Orthodox, Anglican, Protestant and Roman Catholic, all in a nonthreatening manner.
The host of the series is the Reverend Leo McIlrath, DMin. A resident of Sandy Hook, Rev McIlrath currently serves as the ecumenical chaplain for The Lutheran Home in Southbury.
Programs for the coming weeks are as follows: September 18 and 20, Reverend Michael and Reverend Ann Coburn, "The Episcopal Church in Danbury"; September 25 and 27, "The Salvation Army," with Captain David Moore; and October 2 and 4, "The Hindu Community."
