Mr & Mrs Robert Geckle

Emily Elizabeth Wilson and Robert Alan Geckle, Jr were married August 15, 2009, at Belin United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, S.C. Reverend Dr Mike Alexander performed the ceremony.

A reception followed at Kimbels at Wachesaw Plantation.

The bride is the daughter of Reverend Michael Wilson of Cedartown, Ga., and Ms Betty Wilson of Columbia, S.C. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee where she earned a bachelor’s of science in sports management. She is currently a student at L’Institut Catholique de Paris in France.

The bride wore a Nicole Miller crepe sheath gown. She carried a mixed bouquet of roses, Alstromeria and wildflowers.

The bridegroom is the son of Robert and Katherine Geckle of Newtown. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and French from Middlebury College and received his Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School. He is employed as legal counsel with the aerospace and defense firm EADS in Paris, France.

The Matron of Honor was Katie Baxter of Atlanta, Ga. Bridesmaids were sister of the groom, Sarah Findley of Newtown; Katherine Church of Franklin, Tenn.; Janey Evett of New York City; and Brittny White of Washington, D.C.

The bridesmaids wore Nicole Miller mocha strapless dresses.

Honorary bridesmaids were Becca Jane Ayers of Aspen, Colo., and Leah Marques of Corpus Christi, Texas.

The Best Man was Carmine Zarlenga of Fairfax, Va. Groomsmen were brother of the bride, Brett Wilson, of St Paul, Minn.; Corey Roush of Bethesda, Md.; Brian Howie of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and Dylan Carson of Venice, Calif.

The flower girls were nieces of the groom, Camryn and Madison Findley of Newtown, while Sawyer Findley of Newtown, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.

Following a wedding trip to the Maldives, the couple have returned to their home in Paris.
