Mr & Mrs Kevin Rice

Jennifer Anne Damergis and Kevin Richard Rice were married on May 23, 2009, at St Andrew Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago. Father John Kalomas was the officiating clergy.

Jennifer is the daughter of John and Helen Damergis of Elmhurst, Ill. She was given into marriage by her father.

For her wedding day Jennifer wore a gown designed by Melissa Sweet. Her bouquet was made up of orchids, tulips, mini calla lilies and white garden roses.

Her maid of honor was Sanitha Prasannakumar from Chicago, who wore a strapless espresso colored dress by J. Crew and carried a bouquet of purple Vanda orchids, eggplant calla lilies, lavender tulips and lilac branches.

The bridesmaids were Cheryl Carson of Crown Point, Ind., and Lindsay Iacuele of Narragansett, R.I. They wore similar J. Crew dresses and carried bouquets that matched that of the maid of honor’s.

Kevin is the son of Kevin and Laura Rice of Newtown.

His best man was Douglas Villard of London, and ushers were John Damergis of Minneapolis, Minn., and Michael Damergis of Chicago.

Lydia Patselas, of Jacksonville, N.C., was junior bridesmaid; Zoe Patselas, of Ann Arbor, Mich., was flower girl; and Giian Iacuele of Narragansett was ring bearer.

Jennifer is a graduate of Loyola University and Georgetown School of Medicine. She is an emergency medicine physician at Inova Fairfax Hospital.

Kevin is a graduate of Newtown High School, Lafayette College and Georgetown School of Medicine. A captain in the US Army, he is a urologist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

The Rices celebrated their wedding with a honeymoon in Athens and the Greek Islands. They have returned to their home in Washington, D.C.
