Mozart, Merlot, and Mums

To the Editor:

On behalf of everyone at Kevin’s Community Center, I would like to thank our sponsors: Claris Construction, Newtown Savings Bank, Union Savings Bank, Glen Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Gem Jewelry, and Yankee Wine and Spirits who graciously supported Kevin’s Community Center with our recent fundraiser Mozart, Merlot, and Mums.

A special thank you to George and Shane Miller who once again offered their beautiful home for this event and to Richard Serbagi who organized and provided the music for the evening.

The food was enjoyed by approximately 200 guests and was provided by Carminuccio’s, El Coyote, Hot Shots Grille, Mona Lisa, My Place, Newtown Deli and Catering, Newtown Pizza Palace, Tambascio’s Italian Grill, The Inn at Newtown, and The Villa. Thank you to the merchants who sold tickets at their establishments, to the businesses who purchased program ads, and to the Sandy Hook Fire Department for loaning us their tent for the event.

A special huge thank you to all the volunteers who offered a tremendous amount of hours and many months in putting this together. Without their help, determination and expertise, this would not have come to fruition as successfully as it did. Lastly, and most importantly, to Dr and Mrs Z. Michael Taweh, whose free medical clinic continues to provide healthcare to our community. This clinic and this family are truly a blessing and we, the community, are all the more blessed because of their generosity.
