Morning Event Focusing On Women’s Executive Presence

NORWALK — The Entrepreneurial Woman’s Network’s (EWN) September Morning Workshop will feature Kevin Carroll, who will be collaborating with attendees to identify specific behaviors that will help bring more “Executive Presence” to their leadership role, and help improve others’ perceptions, too. The full-breakfast buffet event will take place from 8:15 to 11:15 am, Wednesday, September 30, at the Norwalk Inn & Conference Center, 99 East Avenue.

While women in business are rated as good if not better than men in a number of key leadership traits, studies show that women fall short on “Executive Presence.” This empowering program provides participants with an objective look at themselves to identify specific behaviors that will help them look, act, and sound like leaders while still being true to who they are.

Attendees will learn how to “own the room,” how to react under pressure, and what to do if put on the defensive. In addition, the workshop will enable attendees to receive specific one-on-one feedback (as well as practice time) that will immediately improve others’ perception of them.

Mr Carroll (www.kevincarroll.com) launched his own corporate training and consulting business in 1996 after more than 25 years working in white-collar America, including 17 within the New York advertising agency business. Today he works with blue-chip companies such as Microsoft, Wrigley, and Unilever, coaching under his “Think Creatively, Communicate Persuasively” motto.

Anyone interested in attending the event must make paid reservations by 5 pm, Friday, September 25. The EWN luncheon is $45, with EWN members paying the member discounted fee of $25. An additional $5 “walk-in” fee will be charged for guests and EWN members if not preregistered by the deadline.

Reservations not received by the deadline will be accepted on a “space available basis.” All reservations must be made on-line at www.ewn-ct.org.
