More Newtown Magic

To the Editor:

If hard work results in magic, then Newtown has it.

For the second year in a row “One Can Make(s) a Difference” founder and NHS Junior Breanne Lubinsky collected food for the FAITH Food Pantry during the Labor Day Parade. Their trademark orange truck once again replenished our pantry, assuring no one will go without food in time of need. Bruce Moultrop drove the “overflow” truck.

In addition to food, nearly $1,500 was collected due, in no small part, to the selling of the popular Newtown Magnets, the brainchild of NHS Senior Stephen Forgione.

Breanne, Stephen, and their team of volunteers demonstrate that Newtown youth are having a profound positive effect in the support of charities in Newtown. The people of Newtown once again opened their hearts in support of their “magic show.”

On behalf of all the hard working FAITH volunteers, many, many thanks to everyone.
