Family Fun Night Slated September 25

The Newtown Parent Connection and Newtown Youth & Family Services together with the Newtown Prevention Council is hosting Family Fun Night for all local families on Friday, September 25, at Reed Intermediate School, from 6 until 8.

Admission is $10 per family of four, and $3 for each additional person. Tickets are available for purchase at the Newtown Youth & Family Services’ office at 17 Church Hill Road, and at the office of Dr Baum Orthodontics at 23 Church Hill Road. No tickets will be sold at the door to the event.

According to Newtown Youth & Family Services, more than a decade of research by The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University has consistently found the more often kids eat dinner with their families, the less likely they are to smoke, drink or use drugs.
