CommuniTyVision 21 To Host An All-Day Open House

Charter Communications’ CommuniTyVision 21, Newtown’s local cable access channel will hold an open house at its studio on Thursday, September 24, from 10 am to 8 pm. Community members are invited to stop in and find out what CTV21 is all about.

Tours and demonstrations will be conducted throughout the day. Visitors can participate in tours of the studio and mobile production truck, see demonstrations of the latest equipment upgrades, including many improvements to a redesigned control room and a new “tapeless” digital camcorder for field productions.

Written information will also be available on CTV-21 which includes our video production training and internship program. Visitors are encouraged to bring their videotapes for recycling. Refreshments will be served.

Charter Communications serves the western Connecticut towns of Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Kent, Monroe, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Roxbury, Sherman, Southbury, Trumbull, Washington and Woodbury.

“Ever thought of creating your own show? Volunteering? CommuniTyVision 21 has a lot to offer the local person or group that would like to express their views or share something special with the residents of the towns in the charter area,” said Charter Communication Community Access Supervisor Greg Van Antwerp. “Mobile productions big and small, digital video, and a fully equipped studio combined with custom training means that anyone, with little or no experience, can participate in this uniquely free opportunity. Stop by on this special day and take a look.”

The studio is at 11 Commerce Road in Newtown.
