Children’s Seasonal Flu Clinic October 3

DANBURY — According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) children of all ages have been identified as high risk for getting seasonal flu. This year, the Danbury VNA with the support of the Women’s Club of Newtown has scheduled a flu clinic for children 6 months and older at Newtown Middle School.

“Germbuster” interactive activities will teach children how they can stay healthy before and during flu season. Children who get immunized are eligible to participate in a drawing for a Nintendo DS.

Parents can get their flu shots at the same time. The clinic will be held for Newtown students and children 6 months and older, Saturday, October 3 at the Newtown Middle School from 10 am to 1 pm.

Thimerosal free and FluMist are available. Flu shot fee is $38; most insurance plans are accepted or pay by cash, check, MasterCard, or Visa.
