Learn To Save The Life Of Someone You Love
Learn To Save The Life Of Someone You Love
You and a friend are on a hike. Your friend suddenly collapses and is not breathing. His heart is no longer beating. Would you know what to do? A teenager is choking while children and adults watch helpless to intervene. Could you help? If someone you loved were in an emergency situation, would you be prepared to save his or her life?
To improve emergency training among the public, CPR and obstructed airway/choking training for adult victims is being offered by local emergency medical services providers on Saturday, October 14, at 9 am or 1 pm. Kris Peterson, one of the event coordinators, said, âWe think it is important for individuals to learn and participate in critical lifesaving skills that will make our community a safer place to live. While calling 911 is a critical first step, every minute counts and the ability to respond while EMS is en route can sometimes be the difference between life and death.â
In Newtown, the training sites are the Edmond Town Hall gymnasium and the Sandy Hook firehouse.
This training is open to everyone â citizens, parents, teachers, friends, and loved ones. Join us for this low cost training and learn skills for life. For more information or to register call 744-8118 or toll free 888/CPR-6121.
