Friendly Visitor Training Offered

DANBURY — The Volunteer Center of Western Connecticut, which serves greater Danbury area towns including Newtown, will hold a three-session daytime volunteer training program for its Friendly Visitor Program next month.

The program matches trained volunteers with lonely, homebound area senior citizens for weekly home companionship visits. Interested individuals must be willing to make a six-month commitment.
