Frank A. Dluzneski
Frank A. Dluzneski, 76, survived by his loving wife, Marion (Levenduski) Dluzneski of Monroe, died September 16, in Ashlar of Newtown following a long illness. Born in Bridgeport on August 10, 1924, he was the son of the late Ignatius and Mary Dluzneski.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna M. VanWaalwijk and her husband, Richard, of Newtown.
Mr Dluzneski graduated from Bassik High School in 1943 and was a lifelong resident of Monroe. He retired from the Town of Monroe as a school bus contractor after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Monroe Board of Transportation.
Mr Dluzneski was a lifelong gentleman farmer and started Franmar Farm with his wife, Marion, raising Hereford cattle. He was a member of the Polled Hereford Association, a lifetime member of the Stepney Volunteer Fire Department, and a merit badge counselor for Boy Scout Troop 62.
He was an avid outdoorsman (hunting and fishing) and cross-country traveler, who enjoyed our nationâs treasures.
Besides his wife and daughter, Mr Dluzneski is survived by his son, Daniel Frank Dluzneski and his wife, Diana Fish, of Washington, DC; a sister, Irene Kopjanski of Shelton; granddaughters, Jenna and Jaclyn Van Waalwijk, both of Newtown; a nephew, Gary Kopjanski and niece, Cinthia Thornhill, both of Virginia; and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services took place on September 20 from the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike (Route 111), Monroe.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St Stephen Church, 6984 Main Street, Trumbull. Interment was in Cutlers Farm Cemetery, Monroe.
