Connecticut Homeopathic Association Presents ‘A Mother’s Class In Homeopathy’

NORWALK — The Connecticut Homeopathic Association announces a new class, “A Mother’s Class in Homeopathy,” which will be presented monthly, beginning on October 8 and continuing on the second Sunday of each month through June 2001, as part of the organization’s ongoing study group program. The class will meet on the second Sunday of each month, from 2 to 4 pm. at Gibbs College in Norwalk.

“We have created this new study group especially for parents – for mothers and fathers who want to know enough about homeopathy in order to make use of homeopathic remedies in times of simple childhood illness and household emergency,” said the CHA’s new education coordinator, Kathleen Marciano. “Whether it’s diaper rash or ear infection or teething pains, we will cover all the most common childhood ailments and the remedies suggested in their treatment. This is a class for lay people, for those who have not yet studied homeopathy, or for those who want to better their skills in the selection of remedies in the home.”

“A Mother’s Class in Homeopathy” is open to the general public, although those wishing to attend must first join the association. The $50 annual membership fee covers the cost of the entire year-long study.

“A Mother’s Class in Homeopathy” begins on Sunday, October 8, with a special session at a special time. The class will begin at noon and continue until 4 pm as Vinton McCabe presents a special introduction to the philosophy and practice of homeopathy called “Practical Homeopathy in the Home.” Mr McCabe, a past president of the association, is the author of two books on the subject, Homeopathy, Healing & You and Practical Homeopathy.

In November, Kathleen Marciano takes over the teaching as she presents an eight-part primer on the uses of homeopathic remedies for children from birth until age 18. Her sessions will be presented from 2 until 4 pm monthly.

The Connecticut Homeopathic Association is a not-for-profit organization based in Fairfield County and dedicated to offering a high-quality, low-cost education in homeopathy to all interested persons. To this end, it yearly presents classes, lectures, and special events, as well as its ongoing study group program.
