Hearts Of Hope Announces Art Of Hope Auction & Cocktail Reception
Hearts of Hope Newtown chapter will showcase an exclusive collection of unique heart-themed art pieces from talented artists locally and nationwide when it hosts The Art of Hope on Friday, November 8.
The special event will be at Newtown Community Center, 8 Simpson Street, from 6 to 9 pm.
Hearts of Hope Founder and Executive Director Judith Pederson says she is overwhelmed with gratitude the event approaches.
“In the early months of this year, we asked for ‘artists and creative people’ to create and donate art for this event. And they did — people responded from all over the country! Every piece is beautiful and inspiring,” Pedersen said.
At this event, Hearts of Hope will also present Ambassador of Hope Awards to two distinguished local dignitaries: Maureen Will, director, Newtown Emergency Communications Center; and Donna Monteleone Randle, Post Commander and District 3 Chaplain, American Legion Post 202. The awards celebrate the contributions of each woman to Newtown and surrounding area communities as well as their continuing support of the Hearts of Hope Newtown chapter.
This event will highlight Hearts of Hope’s community service campaigns, grief counseling, and educational programs including the recently newly launched school program, Grief Resilience Inspires Triumph (GRIT).
98Q radio personality Rich Minor, host of the “Rich Minor in the Morning” radio broadcast from Danbury, will serve as emcee for The Art of Hope. Live music will be provided by Rich Molden and Friends.
Guests will enjoy an elegant evening of food and drinks while viewing the unique paintings and artwork in the silent auction.
Early bird tickets are $45 each, and available through www.ourheartsofhope.org.
