Matthew Howryletz, 77, of Danbury, formerly of Newtown, died September 15, at his home. He was born September 2, 1937, in New York City.

He was the brother of Patricia Nielsen and Peter Howryletz and his wife, Kathy. Several nieces and nephews survive Mr Howryletz. His parents Dan and Helen Howryletz, of Newtown, predeceased him.

Mr Howryletz worked for Panasonic for most of his professional career. He was an avid stamp and coin collector, and loved photography. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will take place Saturday, September 20, at noon, at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Interment will follow at St Rose Cemetery in Sandy Hook. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday morning, from 11 am to noon, prior to the service.
