Trolley Tour Of Historic Fairfield

FAIRFIELD — Fairfield Historical Society’s final trolley tour of the fall season is scheduled for Sunday, September 19, beginning at 2 pm.

The tours have been created to re-trace the major trolley routes that helped shape today’s Fairfield. The guided excursion on the trolley bus will visit important places in Fairfield’s history including the Old Post Road Historic District, Stratfield, Southport, Greenfield Hill and Black Rock (once part of Fairfield).

Beginning at the historical society on Old Post Road, the trolley will make stops along the way including the Ogden House on Bronson Road, an 18th Century saltbox farmhouse owned and operated by the society.

Tickets are $12. This popular program is made possible with the cooperation of Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority, the owners of the trolley bus.

Call the society to reserve a place as the trolley bus accommodates a limited number of passengers. For more information and reservation call 203-259-1598.
