Sunday, October 3 â The fourth annual Quiet Cornerâs Ride for the Cure will be held Sunday, October 3, at Tyrone Farm in Pomfret. Riders will cover an 11-mile course through the historic region around Pomfret, known as the Quiet Corner. The event benefits the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, a national organization dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer. Each participant must raise or make a personal donation of at least $250, which goes directly to the foundation (last year more than $30,000 was raised).
