Patriots Take On ‘Blood

Donor Of The Game’

FARMINGTON — The American Red Cross is teaming up with the WBCN/Patriots Rock Radio Network to celebrate and support the return of championship football to New England by honoring volunteer blood donors throughout the season.

All who come to donate blood at an American Red Cross blood drive in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, or Vermont between September 13 and December 29 may enter for a chance to win the honor of being the WBCN/Patriots Rock Radio Network Blood Donor Of The Game. This honor will be awarded before each regular season home game.

Winners will receive an autographed souvenir, WBCN/Patriots Rock Radio Network apparel, a WBCN/Patriots Rock Radio network experience, and a New England Patriots Blood Donor of the Game press release.

The network experience will include having the donor’s name and hometown announced as part of the pregame broadcast.

Anyone who is 17 or older, weighs 110 pounds or more, and is in generally good health probably is eligible to donate blood. Call 800-GIVE LIFE (800-448-3543) to make an appointment. Appointments also may be requested by visiting the website at www.bloodct.org. Positive identification is required at the blood donor site.

The next Red Cross blood drive in Newtown will be held on October 2 from 7:30 am to 12:15 pm at St Rose of Lima, 46 Church Hill Road.
