The area’s only women’s basketball league announces the start of the 2001-02 season with a month of team-building practice sessions beginning on Tuesday, October 2 at 6:30 pm, at the Newtown Health and Fitness Club.

All former and new players are urged to attend practices during October. Teams will be chosen and new rules will be voted on before the season-opening game on Tuesday, November 6. The season runs through April, providing seven months of play.

All games are on Tuesday evenings at 6:15, 7:00, and 8:00 pm. Two referees officiate every game and playoffs and the championship games are held in April. Babysitting is available in the club’s nursery for all games. The cost is $49.00 for members of the Club and $149.00 for non-members.
