To the Editor:

Please elect Joan Plouffe to the Police Commission.

I have known Joan well for twelve years. She is a caring and compassionate person and someone who gets things done. Joan has a strong record of serving on committees and volunteering in Newtown that speaks for itself. Most importantly, Joan has experience serving on the Police Commission and will not have a learning curve.

The Newtown Police, one of our most important assets to this town, deserves someone like Joan Plouffe because she has experience, she cares, and she will make sure our police get what they need.
