The Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard will hold its annual Open House at its headquarters, within Fairfield Hills at 4 Wildlife Drive, from 11 am to 3 pm on Sunday, September 28.

This family fun event is open to all. It will feature a noon meet and greet with the horses, a 1 pm mounted cavalry demonstration and musical ride, and a 2 pm rony ride for anybody who would like to mount up on one of the horses and take a ride around the ring.

There will also be games and crafts for the little ones, face painting, food, music, and a historical exhibit covering more than 200 years of Horse Guard service to the state.
