Rodney Watts

Man Of Many Accomplishments

Rodney Watts, 64, of Waterbury, died September 13, at the Veterans Hospital in West Haven, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr Watts was born October 1, 1946, in Attleboro, Mass., to Mary (Collins) and William Watts, Jr.

Two children, including Amy Dalton, and her husband Matthew, of Newtown; five grandchildren; three sisters; and several nieces and nephews survive Mr Watts.

He served proudly in the US Air Force from 1965 to 1969. He received his MBA from Bryant College and worked as a sales and marketing executive for most of his career.

Mr Watts was an accomplished woodworker, golfer, and hot air balloonist, as well as an avid sailor, fisherman, gardener, and cook. He was especially proud of his involvement in the Patriot Guard Riders of Connecticut, “Standing for those who stood for us.”

Friends may call in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street in Newtown, on Monday September 19, from 5 to 8 pm. Interment will be private.

 In lieu of flowers, donations to the Patriot Guard Riders of Connecticut, 8 Brenda Lane, Old Saybrook CT 06475, will be appreciated.
