NICE Homes Sought

According to the Newtown International Center for Education (NICE), program team host families are currently being sought to offer housing to visiting students and teachers throughout the school year.

Program Coordinator Jason Hiruo said host families are particularly needed, “because there are ten students and two teachers that are going to be here for one month.”

Mr Hiruo also said this is the first time the Newtown school district has participated in a one-month exchange through its NICE program.

Multiple programs are scheduled to run throughout the school year with visitors coming to Newtown from the district’s sister schools.

Host families are particularly being sought to for Reed Intermediate School and Newtown Middle School aged students.
