Julia Muriel
Fitzpatrick
A Loving Mother
To Many
Julia Muriel Fitzpatrick Pinto, 86, of Bridgeport died September 10, at the Watermark in Bridgeport. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank L. Pinto, Jr. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of John and Julia Dillon Fitzpatrick.
Three children, including Karen Pinto Kastner, and her husband,, Matthew, of Newtown; three foster children; a brother, Thomas; three sisters-in-law; three grandsons; and many nieces and nephews survive Mrs Fitzpatrick. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her brother John F. Brophy, Sr, and his wife.
Mrs Fitzpatrickâs main focus in life centered around caring for her family, her friends, and those in need. She was always there to offer comfort, support, and sound advice to her many âkidsâ: her own, her grandchildren, her foster children, and the countless nieces, nephews, and cousins who flocked to her door. She loved her two âbabyâ brothers and they loved her back.
She held several offices in the American Legion Auxiliary and spent many years volunteering at the West Haven Veterans Hospital. She will be deeply missed by all she touched, but her genuine goodness lives on in all who knew her.
Funeral services took place September 14. Interment was in St Michaelâs Cemetery, Stratford.
