Carolyn Lindstrom Ressler, 89, of Fairfield, widow of the late Wilbur Ressler, died September 10, at the Cambridge Manor in Fairfield. She was born in Bridgeport, and was a lifelong area resident.

Her daughter Rosalind Liljengren and her husband, Gary, of Newtown; and grandchildren Evin Liljengren and Heather Liljengren and her husband, Michael Jerdan survive Mrs Ressler.

She was a longtime active member of the Salem Lutheran Church and the Couples’ Club. She was an avid reader, and she enjoyed caring for her family, especially her grandchildren.

Friends are invited to attend a funeral service, Monday, September 15, at 2 pm, at the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will be in Mt Grove Cemetery Mausoleum, 215 Dewey Street, Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family on Monday, from 1 to 2 pm.
