Edward R. Cumm

Edward R. Cumm, 75, of Danbury, husband of Aida (Parente) Cumm, died September 10 at his home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., July 14, 1940, to Veronica (Schoepp) and Edward V. Cumm, he was raised in the Bronx, where he attended local schools and later Pace University.

In addition to his wife of 53 years, his son, Christopher Cummings, and his wife Alison, and their children, Sienna and Melina, of Newtown; sisters-in-law, Marie Lindsay and Karen Maresca; aunts, nieces, cousins, and dear friends survive Mr Cumm.

A resident of Danbury for the past 42 years coming from Westchester County, N.Y., Mr Cumm was a member of St Gregory the Great Parish of Danbury.

He was a retired route salesman for the Continental Baking Company, a position he held for 37 years.

He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

The family wishes to express deep appreciation to the doctors and staff of the Western Connecticut Healthcare Network, Praxair Cancer Center, Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western Connecticut, American Cancer Society, family, neighbors, and dear friends for their compassion, care, and assistance during this time.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Avenue, Danbury, Monday, September 14, from 5 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 15, at 10 am, in St Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
