Host Family Needed For Guest Teacher

A guest teacher, scheduled to arrive in the district on September 15, is in need of a host family for the first and second halves of the school year, as announced by the Newtown International Center for Education (NICE) this week.

NICE Program Coordinator Jason Hiruo said ideally two host families are being sought, one for each semester of the school year.

Wu Tong is an international language specialist with expertise in Mandarin, according to NICE, and she is sponsored by The College Board and Hanban, the Asia Society Confucius Classrooms Network. She will working at Reed Intermediate School.

A host family for the first half of the year is needed immediately.
