Light The Night

Walk Offers Hope

Dear Newtowners:

It’s that time of the year again! The Third Annual Light The Night Walk will be held Saturday, September 29, at WestConn’s White Street Campus. This annual event is part of a nationwide fundraiser to pay tribute and bring hope to those stricken with leukemia, lymphomas, and other blood related cancers. Last year over 400 walkers participated and raised over $52,000!

Our team, Greg’s Group, walks in memory of our son, Greg, who lost his battle with leukemia in October 2000. Greg was a senior at Newtown High School and 17 years old. We participate in this walk to help find a cure. It is our hope that fewer families will have to experience seeing their child die when their whole life is before him.

Please help us by walking or sponsoring us. Register online at www.lightthenight.org/ct or calling me at 426-0851.

Thanks. It is nicer in Newtown.

Yours truly,

Ginny Chion
