Flagpole Collision

Police report a two-vehicle accident at the hazardous intersection of Church Hill Road and Main Street at the Main Street flagpole about 4:45 pm September 10.

Motorist Kristina Paddyfote, 17, of Middlebury, who was driving a 1999 Lexus RX-300 sport-utility vehicle westward on Church Hill Road, was then attempting to make a left turn onto southbound Main Street, police said.

At that time, motorist Kevin Zimmerman, 45, of 74 Hanover Road was driving a 2007 Honda Accord sedan northward on Main Street and was intending to travel straight through the intersection, police said.

As the Lexus attempted to make the left turn, the two vehicles collided. There were no injuries. Paddyfote received an infraction ticket for a stop sign violation, police said.
