Golf Outing

The Newtown Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Golf Outing on Tuesday, September 25, at 1 pm, at the Newtown Country Club.

The Outing will be in support of the Cyrenius Booth Library and its 75th anniversary.

Registration will begin at 11:30 am, followed by lunch. The tournament – a scramble – will tee off at 1 pm. Awards will be given for first place, second place, closest to the pin, closest to the line, and longest drive (men and women).

There will be all sorts of prizes such as golf shirts, tees and golf balls provided by Peoples United Bank and Ashlar of Newtown.

After golf, enjoy cocktails and a buffet in the clubhouse for a Business After Hours at 5 pm, sponsored by Union Savings Bank and the Chamber of Commerce.

There is a limit of 60 players.

Tournament committee includes Peter Giarratano of P&M Consulting, Chamber president Pat Linnell, Carole Georges of People’s United Bank, Maureen Birden of Newtown Savings Bank and Tom Gutner of Ashlar of Newtown.
