A Need For Change

To the Editor:

I wish to express a heartfelt thank you to all Labor Day Parade attendees. As mentioned in the Newtown Bee about a month ago, I announced my candidacy for first selectman. I felt the parade was an important venue for me, joining the ranks of all the other politicians. I was a little nervous as the parade started, but your applause from beginning to end put me at ease immediately. I knew at that moment that many of you felt as I do, indeed it is time for a change.

I am not a “politician,” rather a citizen who along with you, can work together to better our great town by listening and reacting to concerns we all have.
