To the Editor:

Michelle Embree Ku is running for the 106th district State Representative and I fully support her effort. Motivated by the tragedy of 12/14/12, Michelle decided to work on behalf of the community, to give back where she could. She first served on the Board of Education and then as the chairperson. She was then elected to the Legislative Council and currently serves on the Board of Selectmen.

Michelle chaired the Connecticut Legislative Task Force on Life Threatening Food Allergies and was a member of the Governor’s Regional Advisory Team to help transition students back to the classroom after the Covid shutdown. Michelle was also the president of the EdAdvance Board of Directors.

When Michelle gets to Hartford she will fight for us, for better health services, a better insurance market, better air quality in schools as well as school safety and security and sensible gun safety measures. Michelle believes that climate change is an issue, that we must protect our environment and prepare for a future with more clean energy sources, energy conservation measures and the need to tackle the solid waste problems facing the entire State. Michelle will work in a bipartisan manner on the issue of accessible housing to provide a livable community for all residents.

It’s time for a change. Vote for Michelle Embree Ku on November 5. Vote Blue.
