To the Editor:

Another election and again, the town republicans are letting down the people of Newtown. When your candidate for the highest office in the land, the leader of the free world and the person who should have the highest caliber of morality and conscience is a 34 timed convicted felon while also being found guilty of sexual assault, you have lost all credibility as a party.

Not one local candidate on the Republican ticket has stood up to denounce the person who paid off a porn star to keep her quiet or encouraged the immoral crowd to storm the capital to try and overturn the most secure election in the history of the US (not my words, but the words of Trump’s own Homeland Security department).

With republicans denial or refusal to accept truth and facts and instead believe a vast conspiracy that the election was stolen, democracy cannot and will not survive.

I truly question the patriotism of those who stay quiet about Trump as they seek your vote. The complicity is the moral decline of the local republican party.
