Overcritical Of Botsford Fire And Rescue
By Edith M. Poidomani
To the Editor:
I read with deep concern about the attack on the Botsford Fire and Rescue trucks that were marching in the Labor Day Parade. I saw the "Trump/Pence" sign on the back of the truck, but did not read anything negative about Muslims or Mexicans. I understand it was not appropriate for the sign to be on the back of the truck, but I feel the comments of the person writing the letter were overcritical and demeaning to our wonderful volunteers who provide a service to our town. Sanctions against Botsford Fire & Rescue? How ridiculous to suggest that the Botsford Fire & Rescue would possibly have a slower response time to a home with a Clinton sign.
It is now 15 years since 9/11 and there is now more political correctness than we ever have had. Most people that I talk to, whether they are Democrat, Republican, or Independent, feel our world has become a sad, scary place. Does anyone care about what the future will hold for our young children when they become adults? We, as Americans, should honestly look at the Democrat, Republican, and Independent candidates running for president. Stop hiding behind your political affiliation and remove the blindfolds. The USA stands for one nation under God; in God we trust. Please sir, stop your nastiness and put your time and positive energy on how we as Americans can help to keep our wonderful country safe along with maintaining our freedom. Americans need to honor, not disrespect, our beautiful flag. Look at what's been happening for the past eight years and be honest with yourself.
