Drugs Stolen

Sometime between 2 pm September 4 and 6 pm September 8, someone stole a package from a mailbox on Plumtrees Road, police said. The package contained two bottles of prescription medication. The package was later found, but the drugs were missing, police said. Police are investigating.

Church Hill Accident

Police report a two-vehicle accident on Church Hill Road, just east of its intersection with Commerce Road, about 2 pm September 5.

Involved in the collision were Benjamin Moore, 17, of 42 Berkshire Road, who was driving a 2000 Ford, and Stacy Salicki, 33, of Plantsville, who was driving a 2000 Chevrolet, police said. There were no injuries. Police issued Moore a written warning for making a restricted turn.

Fairfield Hills Crash

Police report a two-vehicle accident at the traffic signal at the intersection of Wasserman Way and Trades Lane at Fairfield Hills about 7:45 pm September 8.

Motorist Rogelio Romero, 29, of Danbury, who was driving a 2000 Honda westward on Wasserman Way, drove into the rear end of a 2001 Subaru, which was stopped at a red traffic signal, police said. Motorist Terence O’Grady, 61, of Wainscott, N.Y., was driving the Subaru. Police said O’Grady and Subaru passenger Mary Agatha Savage, 69, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, both reported neck pain.

Police issued Romero an infraction ticket for following too closely.

Washbrook Road

Motorist Jay Romanelli, 17, of 10 Taunton Ridge Road was driving a 1991 Honda Prelude southward on Washbrook Road about 1:30 pm September 4, when he lost control of the auto and slid off the road at 17 Washbrook Road, police said. Romanelli was not injured. Police issued him a written warning for making a restricted turn.

Mitsubishi Vs BMW

Motorist Joseph Mirabelli, 46, of Monroe, who was driving a 2000 BMW Z-3 convertible roadster, was stopped at a stop sign on Hattertown Road at its intersection with Route 302 at about 4:40 pm September 7, police said.

A 2000 Mitsubishi Galant driven by Angelo D’Amato, 33, of Bethel, was stopped behind the BMW, police said.

The BMW started to move into the intersection and was struck from behind by the Mitsubishi, police said. There were no injuries. Police verbally warned D’Amato for failure to travel a safe distance apart.
