The Age of Conformity

BROOKFIELD — The Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut is offering a free workshop on “The Age of Conformity: The 1950s Part II.” The workshop will be presented Saturday, September 21, at the Greenknoll Professional Building, Old New Milford Road.

The workshop is about the explosion of protest and dissent of the 1960s which had its origins in the 1950s. Although perceived as an era of conformity, the decade was both dynamic and a harbinger for things to come.

The look back at the 1950s will be presented by Dr Tim Tuttle of Western Connecticut State University and Sacred Heart University.
