Forum Dinner Features Panel

DANBURY — A panel of women led by media personality Nancy Aborn will discuss how women can speak up and be heard at the next Women’s Forum on September 19, at the Danbury Hilton & Towers. Sponsored by Jill magazine, a publication of The News-Times, this event is part of the Women’s Forum Dinner Series.

Women are invited to join this lively discussion as Alice Lambert, president of CT NOW; Jeannette Phillips, past Connecticut president of AAUW; Cindy Slane, chair of CT PCSW; and Gail Williams, president of CT BPW discuss the focus and mission of their organizations and how they approach issues of interest to women. The panel will explore ways that women can shape the national agenda for future action.

Doors open at 6 pm for networking followed by a complete dinner and the panel discussion. Several women-owned businesses will participate in a pre-dinner boutique. Any woman interested in promoting her business may call for information. This event is open to the public but advance reservations are required by September 14. For reservations, contact Women’s Publishing at 792-2070.

Women’s Publishing, Inc., is a Danbury-based, woman-owned business that has been providing opportunities for women since 1993. Upcoming events include a Women’s Forum Retreat September 15 through 17 and the sixth Annual Women’s WORK Expo on October 28. For additional information or a complete schedule of FORUM events, call 792-2070.
