Dr Glass Named An Academy Fellow
MIDDLETOWN â Newtown resident William R. Glass, assistant superintendent for the Danbury Public Schools, has been elected an academy fellow by the board of directors of the CT Academy for Education in Mathematics, Science, and Technology, Inc. (CT Academy). The legislature has designated the CT Academy as the stateâs advocate and facilitator for high standards in the teaching and learning of mathematics, science, and technology for all citizens.
âDr Glassâ unanimous election as an academy fellow is testament to his distinguished career and singular focus to improve the quality of education throughout the state for all students and citizens. We are thrilled to have Bill join a growing number of Connecticut citizens who have been recognized by our board of directors for their outstanding dedication to educational excellence,â said Richard Cole, the CT Academyâs executive director.
Fellows work with CT Academy board members and staff to promote educational opportunities for all students and use their influence, positions, and special skills to ensure that Connecticutâs educational standards in mathematics, science, and technology are world class.
Academy fellows are Connecticut residents who are recognized as persons of distinction and influence through their service in the affairs of the state and of their own communities, and all are persons who have recognized content, technical, or administrative expertise in the fields of mathematics, science, technology, or education.
