Bible Study Classes Begin

SOUTHBURY — The greater Waterbury Evening Women’s Bible Study Fellowship classes will resume with introductory classes at 6:55 pm on September 12 and September 19. Classes will continue weekly throughout the school year on Tuesday nights and will be held at the Southbury Baptist Church, Roxbury Road, in Southbury.

Either class is suitable for newcomers. Regular classes for those who have attended previous BSF classes will resume on September 12.

The women’s classes feature simultaneous study and activities for children grades 1 through 8. If planning to attend, call Donna Scarnati at 203/363-5182 or Patti Moore at 203/264-7204.

Children must be accompanied to the church by their mother, grandmother, or family member (women 18 and over) who will be attending the weekly classes, which are from 6:55 to 8:50 pm, Tuesdays, September to May. Women and children of any denomination are welcome. There is no fee for the study or materials. BSF International is supported by donations. There are over 900 classes worldwide.

There are over 125 women and 50 children already signed up for the Southbury classes and there is always room for more. Those unable to attend one of the September intro classes can come on the first Tuesday of any month. First Tuesdays are always introductory nights. The study is designed so newcomers can pick it up and feel comfortable any month of the year. Women come from all over the state for these weekly classes.

The Bible study is administered by Bible Study Fellowship of San Antonio, Texas. This year’s study will focus on the book of Matthew in the New Testament with many references to other Biblical scriptures – Old and New Testaments. The weekly study includes discussion, lecture, study notes, and fellowship.

For more information or information about the daytime class in New Milford, call Ms Moore or Ms Scarnati. There is also a toll free number for BSF, 888/273-2527.
