Who is in your family? My husband, we’ve been married two years. I have three daughters, two of which are identical twins, and I have two stepsons.

How long have you lived in Newtown? Six years. I moved here from New York.

Where do you work? I retired two years ago, from Restoration Hardware in Greenwich. I’d been with the company for 10 years. I worked in their city store, then Westport, and then Greenwich. It was a great company to work for. Now I have a little flower farm, Dobry Market. I mostly grow dahlias, and I set that up at some of the breweries and wineries locally. I did that last year for the first time, and will start that up again soon. Dahlias come in a little later than most flowers, so toward the end of the summer I’ll be doing that again. It’s really fun.

What do you like to do with your free time? Garden. I do a lot of gardening. I also spend a lot of time with my daughters. I really love yard work too. We’ve never had a yard like this — we’re always planning new gardens and it’s such fun.

Are you a member of any clubs or organizations? Town & Country Garden Club of Newtown, for just about two years now. I found it and I just love the women in the club. They’ve become personal friends. We’re trying to get new members and I try to volunteer for anything they do. My goal is to get involved in more community events and clubs.

Favorite author? One of my favorites is Wally Lamb.

What are some of the most recent books you’ve read? Lessons in Chemistry and The Women. They’re both really good. The truth is, now that I’m retired I read a lot more. I didn’t have two seconds before.

If you could spend the day with one person, living or deceased, who would you choose and why? My mother, just to have a day to show her my gardens, and meet my husband. She’s not with us any more and it would be incredible to have that, to be able to update her on my life, although I know she knows. She was a certified master gardener. She’d be thrilled with my dahlia farm, and my perennial garden.

What is the most recent movie you’ve seen in the theater? A Star is Born, with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.

Favorite movie genre? Feel-good movies.

Favorite music genre? Any kind of dancing music, anything that has a good beat. Although if you saw my playlist you might laugh because it’s all over the place. It goes from Frank Sinatra to John Mayer to Beyonce.

Do you have any pet peeves? Rudeness/no manners, and lateness.

Favorite color? Green

What is something you cannot live without? My family.

What is your proudest accomplishment? My three daughters.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? We were recently in Portugal and I just loved it. The food was amazing, the people were lovely. I also love Tulum, in Mexico, and I can’t wait to go back. It’s heaven. So wonderful.

What would you like to see The Newtown Bee cover? Being newer to Newtown, The Bee does an amazing job. It helps me get to know the community and what’s going on. I think it’s been invaluable.

Do you have a personal credo? Be authentic and kind.
