Leave it to Bill Pendergast to locate a challenge just before it gets changed.

Last week we offered a photo of a stone wall with a pair of crisscrossed wood posts straddling another stone wall, with one metal fencepost above the two wooden ones (inset). Over the weekend, however, we noticed that the owners of the Schoolhouse Hill Road property where this photo was taken, opposite Teachers Ridge Road, had replaced the old fencing with a brand spankin’ new paddock gate and so we worried that no one would have known where the Bee’s Buck challenge had been located.

Pendergast did, and so he will receive the one Bee’s Buck we are awarding this week. No one else was able to tell us the location of the image in the photo.

We do apologize for this test turning out to be much more difficult than usual. It isn’t our usual policy to offer photos of things that have disappeared.

This week’s challenge is a new one, and it’s still around town somewhere. If you think you know where it is, give us a call. The first five callers with the correct answer will win a Bee’s Buck (one US dollar).

No calls will be accepted prior to 2 pm on Friday or after 10 am the following Wednesday. Only one winner per family. Our number is 426-3141. Good luck.
