Yoga Class At Newtown Health And Fitness
Yoga Class At Newtown
Health And Fitness
Beginning Thursday, September 20, at Newtown Health and Fitness, Stina Reed will be teaching a six-week series of yoga classes. Cost for the six classes is $60;Â participants can enjoy a bring-a-friend discount for $50.
Ms Reed teaches in the Kundalini lineage. Kundalini yoga exercises involve combinations of breath, posture, movement, mantra, and meditation. Frequently, class ends with deep relaxation or a centering exercise to raise the practitionerâs overall vibration.
Participants benefit from calming and toning of nerves and glands for increased stamina, loosening of stiff joints for increased flexibility, improved circulation and respiration for increased vitality to areas not frequently oxygenated. Increased spinal flexibility and abdominal strength add to the mix for improved overall health.
A six-week course to be presented on Thursday evenings will begin in November. Additionally, classes will be offered through Danbury Continuing Education on Wednesday evening at 7 pm, and also at Millennium in Bethel Wednesday mornings from 10:30 am to noon.
Although these classes can be challenging, they are appropriate for varying abilities because each exercise will be demonstrated with modifications. Bring a yoga mat or towel. Wear loose-fitting clothing. Join this class to experience positive results in the shortest possible time.
